Sarcoidosis
An inflammatory disease that forms clusters of cells in organs.
Definition
Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease characterized by the growth of tiny clusters of inflammatory cells, called granulomas, in one or more organs, most often the lungs and lymph nodes. Symptoms vary widely depending on which organs are affected. Many cases resolve on their own, while others require treatment.
